Acupuncture

Image Source: Harvard Health. Open pop-up dialog b Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body. A key component of traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture is most commonly used to treat pain. Increasingly, it is being used for overall wellness, including stress management. Traditional Chinese medicine explains acupuncture as a technique for balancing the flow of energy or life force — known as chi or qi (chee) — believed to flow through pathways (meridians) in your body. By inserting needles into specific points along these meridians, acupuncture practitioners believe that your energy flow will re-balance. In contrast, many Western practitioners view the acupuncture points as places to stimulate nerves, muscles and connective tissue. Some believe that this stimulation boosts your body's natural painkillers.

Exercise

Exercise   is any   bodily   activity that enhances or maintains   physical fitness   and overall   health   and wellness. [1] It is performed for various reasons, to aid growth and improve strength, preventing  aging , developing  muscles  and the  cardiovascular system , honing  athletic  skills,  weight loss  or maintenance, improving health [2]  and also for enjoyment. Many individuals choose to  exercise outdoors  where they can congregate in groups, socialize, and enhance  well-being . [3] In terms of health benefits, the amount of recommended exercise depends upon the goal, the type of exercise, and the age of the person. Even doing a small amount of exercise is healthier than doing none. [4] Culled from Wikipedia
